International network

GOVCERT.NL is part of an international network of Computer Security an Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs). These teams maintain intensive worldwide contact. The most important organisations are the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST) and the European Government CERTs (EGC).
GOVCERT.NL is also part of other cooperative ventures.

FIRST (Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams)

First is the forum for Incident Response Teams worldwide. Around 200 members actively exchange information.
Within FIRST, GOVCERT.NL plays an active role. We have set up the NM-SIG (Network Monitoring Special Interest Group). GOVCERT.NL supervises aspiring members and conducts a site visit during the procedure towards membership. This visit is an investigation into the organisation, the physical and ICT security of the aspiring member. The resulting report plays a significant role in the potential admission.

EGC (European Government CERTs)

The EGC is a collaboration between 10 European Incident Response Teams working for the government. The consultation is primarily operational and practical, and of course confidential. Once per year, GOVCERT.NL organises one of the EGC meetings, which is done in connection to our symposium.
The other EGC members are:

TERENA (Trans-European Research and Education Networks Association)

TERENA represents the interests of the national academic networks in Europe. An important activity of Terena is TF-CSIRT.
GOVCERT.NL is certified and accredited by Trusted Introducer, the backbone of CSIRTs in Europe.

I4 (International Information Integrity Institute)

I4 is an international collaborative venture in ICT security in which private parties also participate.

ISF (Information Security Forum)

ISF is an international collaborative venture in ICT security. A wide variety of international organisations are members.

ENISA (European Network and Information Security Agency)

ENISA is European Union organisation for information security issues in Europe. The ENISA website offers EU member states and knowledge institutes access to shared knowledge about information security.
