GOVCERT.NL is the Cyber Security and Incident Response Team for the Dutch government. GOVCERT.NL is an expert in the field of information security and uses its expertise to prevent and combat cyber crime.

ICT and security

The Internet has not been built with much consideration for security. All types of misuse are possible and do occur. Our entire society, including our economy, government and fellow civilians, is increasingly dependent on the internet. This in turn enhances our vulnerability to major risks, such as malware, viruses and data breaches. It is not just the Internet, software and company networks also form a risk.

Mission statement

GOVCERT.NL aim is:
To increase the level of information security in Dutch society through collaboration, sharing of knowledge and dealing with ICT related incidents and large scale emergencies.

Activities

GOVCERT.NL constantly monitors the activities and news on the internet. Moreover, we are part of the worldwide network of CERTs. The knowledge that is the basis of our service provision is acquired through this monitoring and the activities in our networks.

Service provision

The specialists of GOVCERT.NL support government organizations in preventing and dealing with ICT security incidents. We are a small, decisive organization with an extensive service provision for participants. There is an increasing demand for our expertise. Some examples of our service provision are:
