Biography

Mikko Hypponen is the Chief Research Officer for F-Secure. He has worked with F-Secure in Finland since 1991.

Mr. Hypponen has assisted law enforcement in USA, Europe and Asia on cybercrime cases. He has written for magazines such as Scientific American, Foreign Policy and for newspapers like The New York Times.

Mr. Hypponen, born in 1969, was selected among the 50 most important people on the web in by the PC World magazine. He also received the Virus Bulletin Award, awarded every ten years, as "Best in industry".

This keynote address will provide a review of what has been happening in the world of computer security during the history of the Govcert
Symposium: from 2001 to 2011. Mr. Hypponen will also make some educated guesses on what's going to happen during the next 10 years:
