Mr. Tagliapietra has been the President of CLUSIT, the Italian Association for Information Security, since January 2005. CLUSIT is the largest non-profit organization of this kind in the country.
He is a member of the Certification Committee of Lloyd Register and TUV Italia and a member of the ENISA working group on security awareness. Mr. Tagliapietra has also been involved in the working group on Critical National Infrastructures in Italy, promoted by the Ministry of Communication.
Since 1978, Mr. Tagliapietra has been recognized as an expert in computer networks and information security. He has developed important projects for large companies and public institutions, and has been a pioneer in Italy in civic networking and social use of information technology.
In collaboration with two famous illustrators, he is the author of a book that teaches children about information security, which is published by Fatatrac in Florence.
