GBO.Overheid is responsible for processing the personal data of GOVCERT.NL. By means of this privacy statement, we are informing you about the way in which GOVCERT.NL processes your personal data.
1 Definitions
We use the same notion of "personal data" as the one described in the Dutch Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). According to the PDPA, personal data means: “any data regarding an identified or identifiable natural person”. This means that also data which (together) is reducible to a certain person, must be considered as personal data pursuant the PDPA.
2 Goal and collected information
Through this website GOVCERT.NL informs you about its symposium that will take place in the World Trade Center in Rotterdam on 16 and 17 September 2008. Through this website you can register for this symposium.
Registration is compulsory in order to participate in the symposium. Upon registering, we ask you to at least provide the following information: your first name and your last name, your gender, phone number, e-mail address, position and the name and address of the organisation you work for.
We use this data for administrative purposes and for the procedural processing before and during the symposium in order to communicate with you and to send you material related to the symposium.
When you visit this website your IP address and the pages you visited will be recorded, but only for statistic analysis of the visitor’s behaviour. This data is automatically collected by the web server in the server logs. These logs are aggregated into statistics.
The personal data is used by GOVCERT.NL only for the purposes described in this Privacy statement.
The personal data processed by GOVCERT.NL will not be kept any longer than is needed to reach the objective for which the data is requested.
3 Supply to third parties
GOVCERT.NL does not give your information to third parties, for the exception of the cases in which they are obligated by law and rules (see art. 43 Personal Protection Data Act).
4 Access and correction
Anybody is entitled to access his personal data. In order to do so, you can send an e-mail to symposium2008@govcert.nl. Upon your request, GOVCERT.NL will provide an overview of the processed personal data.
Anybody is entitled to have his personal data corrected, completed, cancelled or protected. The request for improvement, completion, cancellation or protection that is sent to the person responsible for the data processing should contain the amendments that should be applied.
Within four weeks after receiving a request for access, improvement, completion, cancellation or protection, GOVCERT.NL will provide a narrative communication in writing also explaining as to how far the request has been complied with. A denial of the request will include the reasons for the denial.
5 Protection
In order to protect your personal data from being seen by unauthorised people, GOVCERT.NL has taken security measures, like measures against unauthorised use, unauthorised access, unauthorised and unintentional destruction and unauthorised change.
6 Confidentiality
The persons acting under the authority of GOVCERT.NL and those having access to the personal data, are obligated to keep the personal data they access confidential, unless the law and rules obligates them to make the communications.
